Coverage choicesOwn damage

This is not the ICBC optional rating engine.

ICBC optional prices depend on proprietary vehicle and policy rating data. This page gives a planning range and makes each assumption visible so users can compare deductibles and risk factors before asking a broker for a binding quote.

CollisionRepairs your vehicle after a crash, including when you are at fault.
ComprehensiveNon-collision damage such as theft, vandalism, weather, glass, fire, and animal impacts.
Distance discountEligible optional policies under 15,000 km can receive a 10-15% discount.

Vehicle and useRating assumptions

Comprehensive risk responds more to storage, theft and glass exposure. Collision risk responds more to use, territory, vehicle repair profile, and driver history.

DeductiblesTradeoff

Higher deductibles lower estimated premium but increase what you pay on the first covered claim. Some customers with at-fault or frequent comprehensive claims may be offered only higher deductibles or may not qualify for coverage.
